Asian Road Cycling Championships - Bahrain
Eight medals for Iran in one day

All eight Iranian Master Cyclists won medals in the first edition of Asian Masters Road Cycling Championships in the Individual Time Trial event.

Masters Asian cycling championships was held in Bahrain for the first time. The only event for the Masters was individual Time Trial in 4 categories. All 8 Iranian riders who participated in this event won medals. 4 Golds, 3 Silvers and 1 Bronze was the outcome of this event for Iranians:

MEN 35-39:

Gold- Chehrzad Saeid (IRI)
Silver- Razi Kamal (IRI)
Bronze- Won Chi Kit (HKG)

MEN 40-44:

Gold- Hamdmaleki Jamshid (IRI)
Silver- Abdulaziz Norhashmat (MAS)
Bronze- Mirbagheri Firoozabadi, Seyed Mahdi (IRI)

MEN 45-49:

Gold- Sfandiyary Omid (IRI)
Silver- Mazaheri Darzi Mahalleh Shamsollah (IRI)
Bronze- Surenkhorloo Turendemed (MGL)


Gold- Amirakhori Bijan (IRI)
Silver- Dabbagh Torghabehi Fereidoun (IRI)
Bronze- Pagvajanbal Baasantseren (MGL)

This was the first edition of the Masters event in the Asian Cycling Championships. This was confirmed by the ACC MC 2016 in japan as a result of a proposal by Iran. 5 countries, Iran, Bahrain, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Mongolia participated in this event.
