Cycling Federation of Iran (CFI) was founded in 1947 and its first president was Mr. Izadpanah. CFI’s headquarters are located in Tehran, Iran.
The CFI administers the Road, Track and Mountain Bike disciplines and tries to promote the development of the other disciplines of cycling (including BMX, Trials, Cyclo-cross and Para-cycling) in Iran. Over the past three years the CFI has boosted its development activities on training coaches and commissaires in different disciplines.
The CFI’s mission is to develop and promote cycling, in close collaboration with the UCI, ACC, and all national federations. Organizing high level international events in Iran is one of the major policies of the CFI. In the UCI Asia Tours, Iran is now dominating with three consecutive overall wins since 2010 and aims to eventually become the leader of all cycling disciplines of the continent.
